Saturday – April 1st: Scherpenzeel (Gld). AFTERNOON CONCERT: Concert by the Dutch Mandolin Chamber Orchestra "HET CONSORT" conducted by Alex Timmerman in the ‘ACHTHOEK CHURCH in Scherpenzeel (Netherlands).Mandolin soloist: SEBASTIAAN DE GREBBER. The programme includes compositions by i.e. Johann Sebastian Bach, Raffaele Calace, Arrigo Cappelleti, Luca Mereu as well as the brand-new compositions ‘The Legend of Princess Noccalula’ by the American composer John Craton for mandolin solo and Mandolin Chamber Orchestra and the ‘Variations on a Basque melody’ by Victor Kioulaphides as scored for mandolin Orchestra by John Craton. Both music works are composed and dedicated to the Dutch Mandolin Chamber Orchestra "HET CONSORT" and will be premièred in the presence of the Composer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The concert starts at 16.00 hours precisely. Entrance € 5, - (children up to 12 years old have free entrance).
